It sounds like hard work being Dakota Johnson. You have to shoot mega blockbusters and travel the world while attempting to keep up a relationship with hot musician/model Matthew Hitt and resist the advances of other hot actors. Dakota's ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal is reportedly desperate to get back with her, but can't seem to make it work (yet?).
The 26-year-old Fifty Shades of Grey actress has reportedly decided to exclusively date Matthew, but that hasn't kept her from seeing Jake, albeit in a group setting. An insider told Radar Online back in August that Dakota and Jake, along with a bunch of friends, were spotted hanging out together at the same table at a nightclub in Los Angeles. They then left the venue through separate exits and, I'm guessing, got into different cars and went their separate ways.
Jake apparently still has a wicked crush on Dakota, sends her flowers and sweet messages, and is attempting to lure her away from Matthew. The group outing may or may not have been an effort on the actor's part to get closer to Dakota in a safe setting.

So, how does Matthew feel about all of this? He's reportedly totally fine with his lady being the object of someone else's affections — because he's secure in the knowledge that she only wants to be with him. The two have been spotted all over New York City, holding hands and doing normal things like walking her dog or going on a coffee run.
Jake and Dakota only dated for a brief period of time in 2011, but it sounds like he never really forgot about her or got over her. I'd be lying if I said the idea of a Jake/Dakota romance isn't intriguing. They're both gorgeous and talented, and they both understand how it feels to be stalked by paparazzi. But, hey, if Matthew is the one for her, kudos to them for making it work amidst all the Fifty Shades craziness.
