Forget everything you may assume about the royal family buying only the finest holiday decorations and delectable treats. Carole Middleton revealed she is giving Prince George and Princess Charlotte the crafty Christmas of every child's dreams — and her adorable DIY ideas are ones you can totally steal.
In an interview with Homemaker, the 60-year-old grandmother said she is very excited to introduce sweet, do-it-yourself festive touches to their holiday, and her cool suggestions sound perfect for 2-year-old George, whom we hear is an active tot. As for Charlotte, she's probably too young to get her hands dirty, but you're never too little to feel the holiday spirit, are you?
Kate Middleton's mom wants to make "paper-and-string sew your own Christmas garland," which she says is ideal for "young helpers to personalize." She is also looking forward to baking with her grandchildren and suggests her "Very Merry Cupcake Set" because, she says, "all children love to bake."
True enough. Carole also recommended the Nutcracker Charm Bracelet Advent Calendar, which she also sells through Party Pieces, and which features adorable gold ornaments children can add to their bracelet each day.

If you're wondering what a holiday dinner table at the Middleton household might look like, it's a lot more fun that I ever imagined. Carole says she's a fan of stringing small Christmas lights around the table and through a Christmas wreath centerpiece. How cozy and pretty!
It sounds like George and Charlotte have it made, especially around the holidays when their crafty grandmother is only too happy to create sweet projects with them and decorate their home so that it resembles a happy Christmas village. Kate also benefits from her mom's talent — she gets to give her kids a memorable Christmas without the pressure of coming up with innovative new decorating ideas each year. Everyone wins!
