The Duchess of Cambridge has heard how disappointed everyone is that she rarely makes public appearances now that she has two little kiddies at home, and she's about to blow everyone's mind by showing up at her next big event decked out like a Disney princess. That's right — Kate Middleton is going to wear a tiara to attend the first state banquet. Step aside, haters.

Kate has been heavily criticized in recent weeks for reportedly ditching the weddings of close friends and skipping out on events — and, even worse, for keeping Prince Will from getting his boogie on because she feels all of their spare time should be spent with Princess Charlotte and Prince George. Who knows if that's true, but here's the rumor about her big appearance scheduled in October: She'll wear a jeweled tiara for the third time since becoming royalty when she and Will attend a state banquet at Buckingham Palace.

The event has been planned to welcome China president Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan to the U.K. and, in keeping with "royal protocol," Kate will wear a tiara. The only other times she wore the head accessory was at her wedding in 2011 and when she donned a tiara that belonged to Queen Elizabeth to attend the Queen's Diplomatic Reception at Buckingham Palace n 2013. Anyone who follows Kate knows she prefers to stick to simple, classic fashion and rarely wears expensive or flashy jewelry, so this is going to be quite a treat.

I should mention: Kate's attendance at the banquet hasn't been confirmed, which gives me an uh-oh feeling in the pit of my stomach. I highly doubt she'll skip it since Will was the one who invited the president to the U.K. in order to help strengthen the bond between their countries, but her track record in recent months (if you buy all the gossip) hasn't been great. I wouldn't want to be around to hear what the Queen has to say if Kate is a no-show at the banquet.

Let's hope she rocks her tiara, looks royally fierce, and reminds everyone that she can slay as both a busy mom and member of the royal family.
