Mila Kunis has a lot of reasons to be proud and thankful. Her baby girl Wyatt is an adorable 7-month-old bundle of joy, she and fiance Ashton Kutcher are going strong, and she has a list of acting credits that most actors would kill to have attached to their names.
But Kunis says she is most proud right now of one accomplishment in particular: she gets to work as a stay-at-home mom.
More From The Stir: Would You Be Happier as a Stay-at-Home Mom or a Working Mom? (QUIZ)
Yes, you bet your butt I said "work"because, as anyone who has tried it for even a day will tell you, it is hard work. Mila, 31, says that, in addition to serving as Wyatt's primary caregiver, she and Ashton are also becoming more involved in their Beverly Hills community, where they recently purchased a not-so-shabby $10 million home, and that they're even taking an active role in their neighborhood watch program.
What's even more impressive: Mila and Ashton say they do not employ nannies or nurses to help them out with Wyatt. You know what this means, right? While our babies are screaming for food and we're running back and forth between the bottle warmer and the washing machine and thinking about the groceries we need to pick up before dinner, Mila is living the exact same life in a parallel Beverly Hills universe.
More from The Stir: 11 Things Never to Say to a Stay-at-Home Mom
It's nice to hear Mila say she is proud to stay at home. Some moms I know always seem to hesitate before revealing that they are stay-at-home moms. They fear they'll be judged (usually by other women) for not contributing to their family's finances.
Nonsense. All moms, whether we choose to work outside of the home, inside of the home, or dedicate all of our resources to our children (thereby saving the family a ton of money on daycare expenses) should be celebrated because we're all doing the best we can.
