Kim Kardashian's second wish (after delivering a healthy baby boy) may have come true: Kate Middleton and Prince William reportedly called Kim and Kanye West to congratulate them on the birth of Saint West.
Unless you've been stranded on a yacht these past few days (lucky you!), you've no doubt heard that Kim and Kanye gave birth to their second child -- a boy they named Saint -- on Saturday in Los Angeles. Upon hearing the happy news, the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge reportedly found it in their hearts to take a few minutes out of their busy day and call the couple to say "congrats."
According to sources, Kimye is overjoyed. "It takes a lot for Kanye to be shocked or even impressed, but he was just that when Prince William and Kate phoned he and Kim, congratulating them and sending them their love on the birth of their second child," a source told Hollywood Life. "Kanye was mesmerized and thought that was just classy."
The source went on to say that Kanye actually told William their newborn son was "America's prince," which gave the 33-year-old royal a chuckle. Did he really say that?! I have to admit that I don't find it at all difficult to imagine the singer and fashion designer saying something like that (and believing it, too).
More from The Stir: Kate Middleton's Rumored Feud With Kim Kardashian Is Beyond Ridiculous
It's no secret that Kim has reportedly wanted to become friends with Kate for ages. For years, rumors have swirled that the two are either close to joining forces or feuding over ... who knows what. There's even talk that Kanye modeled his wife's makeover and new wardrobe after the Duchess -- though, seriously, when was the last time anyone saw Kate making an entrance clad in a skintight nude tube dress?
As unlikely a pairing as they would make, I can't lie: I'd love to see Kate and Kim somehow forge a friendship and get together for girls-only dinner dates, where they can trade stories about their children and witty quips about their husbands. Perhaps this phone call was the first step?
