After rumors swirled about Kate Middleton's absence from several high-profile weddings and events in recent months, she appears to be making up for lost time. The royal family — including George and Charlotte — are reportedly planning to tour the Caribbean as part of their royal duties.

Kate has reportedly changed plans to travel to Mustique with family, an annual Middleton tradition that usually takes place in January or February. They will instead travel to the private island in November so that Kate, Will, and the kids can prepare for their royal tour of the Caribbean islands in the winter.

This will be George's second time traveling on a royal tour with his parents. His little sister Charlotte will be about nine months old when she accompanies her parents and brother on a visit to 16 Commonwealth countries, including the Bahamas, the British Virgin Islands, and the Cayman Islands.

The royals have yet to confirm the big voyage, but I'm guessing it will certainly make one person very happy: Queen Elizabeth, who reportedly criticized Kate for being a "lazy" royal and not attending enough events or doing her due diligence as the Duchess of Cambridge.

It isn't going to be easy for them to travel for so long with two very small children — think about the time zone differences, all of the clothing they'll have to pack, potty training in foreign places, George's desire to touch and get into everything, and having to baby-proof every single place in which they stay, but obviously all of the help they have will make their trip a lot more enjoyable. And, as much as it may seem like vacation for them, this is actually work. As for George and Charlotte — I guess you're never too young to learn how to be a royal.
