The Duchess of Cambridge is so smitten with her daughter Charlotte that she reportedly wants another baby girl — sooner rather than later. Rumor has it Kate Middleton is desperate to get pregnant again, and she doesn't want to wait for it to happen.
Take this gossip for what it is — juicy, yummy gossip. Kate reportedly feels inspired to try for another baby as soon as possible because she would like Charlotte to experience the same joy she had being raised with Pippa, who is only two years younger than her and with whom she enjoys a close sisterly bond.
Kate has apparently asked Prince Will if they can have a third child now because she hopes to bring another little girl into the world who can become Charlotte's best buddy and ally. Will was, at first, reportedly worried because Kate's pregnancies have been slightly difficult, given her hyperemesis gravidarum, which landed her in the hospital. Apparently, he has since agreed to put his fears aside and start trying for a third baby, despite the fact that Charlotte is only 3 months old.

If the rumor is true, I think it's wonderful that Kate and Will want to expand their family and give Charlotte and George even more playmates and lifelong companions. But I hope they aren't going into this hoping for a certain gender. I always feel bad when I hear parents talk about wanting a boy or girl — a healthy child of either gender is a blessing.
