It looks like President Obama will have a strong ally in his fight against the Islamic State terrorists -- for the saddest and most unfortunate of reasons.
A British aid worker named David Haines is the third person to reportedly be beheaded by ISIS and the horrific incident was caught on camera. In the video, entitled "A Message to the Allies of America," the 44-year-old is seen kneeling on a sandy hill alongside a man who authorities believe is the same ISIS member responsible for executing American journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff. Before performing the disgusting act, Haines delivers a haunting message that appears to have been prepared for him.
After providing his name, Haines reportedly says, "I would like to declare that I hold you, David Cameron, entirely responsible for my execution." He goes on to blame the British prime minister for following the United States' lead in fighting against the Islamic State.
His executioner, known as "Jihadi John," then faces the camera and is shown holding another British man named Alan Henning by the collar: "If you, Cameron, insist on fighting the Islamic State, then you, like your master, Obama, will have the blood of your people on your hands."
Henning is one of four British and American nationals whom authorities believe are being held captive by ISIS.
Cameron responded to the video with the tweet, "We will do everything in our power to hunt down these murderers and ensure they face justice, however long it takes."
Obama sent his condolences to Haines' family and vowed to work with the United Kingdom and other nations to destroy ISIS.
How do you think the U.S. government should respond to the threat of ISIS?
