When you're Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, six children don't make you exhausted -- they inspire you to have even more children. Yep, if the rumors are to be believed, the Maleficent actress is planning to keep her promise to give Brad another baby by freezing her eggs before undergoing a preventative surgery to remove her ovaries. Angie reportedly knows it's important to Brad to have another child of his own and is open to creating another precious little life through IVF and a surrogate in the event that she has to have a hysterectomy. Is she the bravest woman in the world or out of her mind?
Those of us who remember Angie's wild blood vile-wearing years were in for the shock of our lives when we began witnessing the actress' transformation to earth mom more than a decade ago. First she adopted son Maddox from Cambodia. Next, she adopted Zahara from an Ethiopian orphanage. Then, she and Brad conceived and she gave birth to Shiloh in 2006. She adopted Pax from Vietnam when he was 3 and finally -- but perhaps not lastly -- gave birth to twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline in 2008.
Whew.
Granted, we know she and Brad have oodles of money to hire as much help as they can, but you have to give them credit where it's due -- they're often photographed traveling from one continent to another with the entire brood in tow. She seems like a lovely, and incredibly loving and dedicated mom whose children are growing up well adjusted, despite dealing with constant media scrutiny.
Assuming this rumor is true -- good for Angie! If anyone can pull off raising 7 children, they can do it. I also love that she continues to inspire women with her health choices, from the extreme preventative measures she has and is taking to fend off cancer so that she can stick around to be a presence in her family's life for a long time to come, to possibly becoming an ambassador for IVF treatment. We women are lucky to have a strong role model like Angelina on our side.
