When the children at the Forest School in London sweetly sent a Christmas card to the royal family, they never expected to receive one back, but that's exactly what happened. Kate Middleton, Prince William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte sent a surprise Christmas card to the children in the Squirrels and Rabbits class.
The young kiddies from the school created handmade cards for the royal family and were delighted to find out that not only were they received by Kate Middleton, Will, and their little ones, but the royals were extremely grateful to be in their thoughts this season.
The children in the Rabbits and Squirrels class, which appears to be a preschool, were over the moon when they received a speedy reply from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge: a photo of the family at Charlotte's christening, along with the message: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George and Princess Charlotte thank the Children in Rabbits Class at Forest School for the very kind handmade card sent at Christmas and send you their best wishes for the New Year."

The school's headmaster says the children were "very excited" to receive a reply and that the card will be shared with the entire school during their end of term assemblies. The kids are going to be learning about the royal family next year, so this is a sweet introduction to its most beloved members.
What I love the most about Kate and Will's card is that they included a personalized message -- it would have been much easier to send out a stock card that simply wishes the kids a "happy holiday."
It's sweet to think that these children will grow up watching peers George and Charlotte as they slowly grow into their own in the royal family. With parents like Kate and Will, there's no doubt they'll exhibit the same graciousness.
