Clik here to view. The royal couple certainly have two very good reasons to celebrate the holidays this year -- and they're not above showing off their beautiful family, to our delight. Kate Middleton and Prince William's new family portrait is also their Christmas card -- and it's perfect.
Now that Princess Charlotte is 7 months old and Prince George is a lively and boisterous 2-year-old, it's a lot easier for Kate and Will to gather up their troops, dress them in adorable, color-coordinated frocks, and lead them out to the garden to pose for a family portrait. Yeah right! If only it were that easy!
Instead of sitting for a formal portrait in some stuffy library at Anmer Hall, Kate and Will asked photographer Chris Jelf to capture their lovely family in a much sweeter, more informal setting -- a yard that features pretty fall foliage and (best of all) George's beloved red toy train:

[/code]The royal couple made the smart call to turn this lovely photo into their official Christmas card and I think it's perfect. Kate and Will match, but are both super casual -- I mean, she's wearing pants, which is awesome! Meanwhile, George is rocking one of his trademark shorts/knee socks/sweater combos, which makes him look like an adorable pupil on winter break from school.
And then there's little Charlotte, with those cherubic cheeks, that sweet smile, and shoe-less pink tights. All parents know how impossible it is to keep shoes on a baby, and I love that Kate and Will aren't even trying to pretend Charlotte crawls around their house wearing suede Mary Janes. Their card is refreshingly real and one most families can recreate in their own backyards.

Kate and Will look happy, healthy, and in love with each other and their little ones. They continue to buck royal tradition by adding their own modern flair to everything they do -- including using down-to-earth portraits as their Christmas cards. Stay tuned to hear whether the queen has anything to say about their "commoner" cards.
