Clik here to view.Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele may be responsible for the sudden increase in population in one area of Texas. Doctors say a Fifty Shades of Grey baby boom has happened in one North Texas suburb -- as a record high number of births were recently reported.
Plano Medical Center reported a record of 30 babies born in the past two days alone. Considering how the hospital reportedly averages 50 births per week (and that's in a busy week), that's quite a lot of little ones passing through the nursery at the same time. Plano generally welcomes 200 babies per month, but will be saying hello to an extraordinary 400 babies this month -- something had to inspire all of this love, right?
If you do the math, Fifty Shades of Grey was the must-see film at the time of conception, which has led one doctor to consider this a Fifty Shades of Grey baby boom.

It isn't all that surprising to discover that an uber popular film centered around the wild sex lives of two gorgeous people inspired real-life couples to have more sex -- though you have to admit it's odd that the births are concentrated in one suburb in Texas! I can't help but wonder whether any makeshift red rooms were used in the baby-making process, though I honestly hope these parents keep that information to themselves.
The next big question is: How many of these adorable newborns will be christened "Ana" or "Christian?" It seems only right to pay homage to the characters who inspired their parents!
