Like many other women, the Duchess of Cambridge looks to other women for fashion inspiration -- but, thanks to her royal status, she just so happens to be one of the few and fortunate who gets tips from a supermodel's mom. Kate Middleton is getting fashion help from Cara Delevingne's mom Pandora, who reportedly selected a few of our favorite latest Kate looks.
Since most celebs employ stylists, it's no surprise that busy Kate would enlist the assistance of Pandora, who is a personal shopper at Selfridges and has reportedly "spent her career advising the rich and famous on their wardrobes." Add to this the fact that she's also mom to the world's most famous supermodel and you've got yourself one impressive resume.
Pandora advised Kate to wear two gorgeous gowns that grabbed hundreds of headlines in recent months. This bright and bold floral Erdem dress she wore to the 100 Women in Hedge Funds Gala Dinner:
And this heavenly powder-blue, sheer Jenny Packham gown she wore to accompany Prince William to the Spectre premiere in London:

Suffice to say that Pandora has excellent taste and seems to know exactly what Kate should wear to make a splash. Apparently, Cara's mom is so influential that she was even able to convince Kate to go with the beautiful floral Erdem, which proved a hit, after the Duchess revealed she wasn't a huge fan of the dress because it had an unusual shape. And, when Kate decided to wanted something a bit more bold and daring for the Spectre premiere, she trusted that Pandora would be able to help without going overboard.
It probably helps that the Delevingnes have an interesting royal connection: Pandora's mom Jane Sheffield was a lady in waiting to Queen Elizabeth's sister, Princess Margaret. So Kate can rest assured she's in excellent hands.
I love to see Kate turn up at the park with her kids or another informal affair dressed in simple jeans and a striped shirt. I truly believe she has a wonderful sense of style and always looks smart and appropriate for the occasion. But, when it comes to high-profile events, oh the pressure. All eyes and cameras are constantly on Kate and she knows she'll be slammed if she wears something that is either too bland or too avant garde. Partnering with Pandora is smart — and it takes some of the burden off of her.
I hope Kate keeps turning to Pandora for fashion advice because her latest choices have been an exciting departure from her usual gorgeous (but more conservative) wardrobe. If only we could all have a Pandora in our lives!
