Clik here to view. For months, Fifty Shades of Grey fans have been wondering whether Christian Grey will take the plunge in the movie sequel — and by "plunge," I mean drop his pants and appear completely in the buff. Rumor has it Jamie Dornan is seriously considering going full-frontal in Fifty Shades Darker, thanks to a offer that was made to him that he simply cannot refuse.
You may have already heard that the 33-year-old Irish actor has been offered a $1.5 million bonus on top of his regular salary to let it all hang out in sex scenes with Dakota Johnson's Anastasia Steele. Although he hasn't confirmed that he's willing to go that extra mile, a recent interview Dornan gave, in which he revealed he's excited about "embodying" Christian Grey more fully in the sequel, has everyone wondering whether he was dropping hints about appearing naked.
It's a bit of a stretch, I admit, but an additional $1.5 million is very tempting and I'm sure scores of actresses have agreed to disrobe on film for a lot less. It's also becoming slightly more acceptable for actors to show their penises on screen, a tide that I feel shifted (just a wee bit) when Ben Affleck agreed to show his for a brief second in Gone Girl. I take it that EL James and the film's producers no longer fear that male nudity could leave them with an NC-17 rating because they're probably pretty darn confident that fans would pay to see Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed even if it got an X rating.
More from The Stir: Jamie Dornan's Silence Over 'Fifty Shades' Full-Frontal Scene Speaks Volumes
With all of that said, I don't think it's necessary for Jamie to show his penis in order to stay faithful to the erotic script. But are fans honestly going to complain if they get to see a hot actor use his body as a tool, the way actresses are constantly asked to do? I doubt it.
The big question now is: Does Jamie think a full-frontal scene could negatively impact his career and future movie roles?
