She's done it again. Dakota Johnson stunned in an elegant white gown at the Guggenheim International Gala Dinner in New York on Thursday, proving she can pull off any color, any style — basically anything she wants.
Flaunting flawless red lips, subtle eye makeup, and a classic updo, the 26-year-old Fifty Shades of Grey star made a regal entrance at the event in an ivory column gown with a sparkling silver bodice. She manages to embody everything great about Old Hollywood and holiday dressing in one amazing look:

I think she looks festive without appearing overdone. Her simple silver sandal heels and clutch purse sweetly complement the gown, and her subtle, barely-there accessories are just right because they don't overpower an already dramatic look.

Dakota brings us this timeless style just days after wowing us at the Hollywood Film Awards, where she showed up rocking a folksy, sheer black gown with colorful embellishments. She seems to be having a blast lately playing around with fashion and, for the most part, is scoring major points with fashionistas for both taking risks and relying on classics that stand the test of time.
And this is just the beginning. With award season coming up in a few months (Dakota has even been nominated for a People's Choice Award) and Fifty Shades Darker promo events after that, we'll get a gazillion more opportunities to see how the actress plans on showing off her cool sense of style.
