Power couples consist of two people who are forces of nature on their own, but become absolutely electric when they work together. Out of all the world's most famous celeb couples, Kate Middleton and Prince William have been voted most influential couple, beating out some pretty big names.
In a poll of more than 2,000 folks from Great Britain, Kate and William came out on top as the first choice for the strongest couple on the globe. The royals were number one on an impressive list that consisted of David and Victoria Beckham in second place, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip (who have been married nearly 70 years) in third place, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in fourth, and Barack and Michelle Obama in fifth place.
Other couples that ranked include Kim Kardashian and Kanye West and Bill and Melinda Gates.
Voters didn't get a chance to explain why they chose Kate and Will, but I'm sure we could all throw out a few theories. For one thing, despite the recent gossip about their relationship hitting a rocky place, which I feel happens a lot when couples have small children and all of the added stress and worry that comes with parenthood, they're always willing to put on a united front. They spent World Mental Health Day together donating their time to charity work at Harrow College, but also managed to get a sitter for Charlotte and George so they could attend a Rugby World Cup match and spend some quality adult time together.

The Duchess and Duke of Cambridge prioritize their family over everything else — including royal weddings, parties, and events — and seem to have made a decision to edit their schedules heavily so that they can be there for their children. Another important reason why I'm guessing they top the list: They are royalty, but seem more accessible than most Hollywood celebrities. Kate thinks nothing of showing up on the set of Downton Abbey because she's a super fan. William is a helicopter pilot with the East Anglian Air Ambulance. They'll never lead a "normal" life — but at least they try.
The world could do a lot worse than looking to Kate and Will for relationship inspiration — they're a model example for young couples.
