She's back! Four months after giving birth to Princess Charlotte, Kate Middleton returned to public duty on Thursday when she visited a children's mental health center in London. And she positively glowed (of course).

The Duchess of Cambridge has been criticized — unfairly if you ask me — for neglecting her royal duties while being a stay-at-home mom to Charlotte and 2-year-old George. But she hushed up critics when she visited the Anna Freud Centre to learn more about the organization and find out how she can support mental health care for children and young adults.

Obviously, her charity work is more important than her appearance, but I can't neglect to state the obvious: she looked radiant. The 33-year-old royal reportedly wore a black and white houndstooth Ralph Lauren "Austin" dress that retails for $1,595, along with Stuart Weitzman "Power" pumps and a Mulberry suede clutch. She is obviously ready for autumn in London with her smart and professional look.

Now, let's talk about her hair because I'm loving it. Not only did Kate shake things up a bit with long bangs that frame her face (a slight nod to the sexy '60s), but that color. She clearly added a few bronze highlights to her gorgeous chestnut mane and the result screams: autumn! It really suits her skin tone and makes her look fresh and vibrant.

New moms know how important it is to take care of ourselves, even while we're consumed with our infants and haven't seen the light of day in weeks. A new hairstyle, choppy bangs, or a few highlights are sometimes all that is needed to make us feel fresh and sexy.

Kate looks happy to be out and about — and I'm thrilled to see her back in action. Having another baby to love and nurture is only going to make her a more empathetic and caring individual. I feel like her best work is yet to come.
