Just days after we heard Kate Middleton and Prince Will may be making their Caribbean royal tour next winter a family affair by bringing their two small children along for the ride, it's now being reported that Kate and Will will travel without Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
No one is sure what brought on this change — or if the royal couple ever actually planned on bringing George and Charlotte to the Caribbean — but they have reportedly decided now is not the ideal time to travel with 2-year-old George and Charlotte, who will be nine months old at the time they are scheduled to visit 16 Commonwealth countries, including the Bahamas and the Cayman Islands.
Instead, their trip will apparently be a short one — nothing like the three-week tour of Australia and New Zealand that they embarked on with George back in April 2014, when the tot was just nine months old and stole everyone's hearts.

There's no info yet on who will be in charge of watching George and Charlotte while Kate and Will are away, but my guess is Kate's mom Carole will, as usual, be a big help. And it's not as if they can't hire the best nannies on the planet. Their babies will be in good hands while they attend to their royal duties. I have to admit -- when I heard they were traveling with George and Charlotte, my only thought was: How tiring.
Here's hoping they take advantage of this unusual break from parenting to enjoy their time together on some of the most breathtaking tropical islands on the planet.
Not a bad work trip!
