They're officially divorced, but Lamar Odom is refusing to let Khloe Kardashian go— and his latest comments about her aren't romantic, they're sad.
One day after the news broke that the former NBA player "ambushed" his ex outside of a SoulCycle in Los Angeles, Odom reportedly agreed to an interview with In Touch magazine and revealed that he still thinks of the 31-year-old as his "wife."
Here's what he reportedly said:
A misunderstanding between me and my wife became public. It's hurtful. That woman is my wife. Without the ring on my finger. [Even] with her picture being taken with another man, that woman is my wife. She's [my] soul mate. I can't control it. We'll never part. I would never consider myself serious with another woman. To sum it up, if a man is attempting to court Khloe, he's probably wasting his time.
I don't doubt Lamar's feelings about Khloe, nor do I question her love for him. But it's over. Their relationship reached an impasse — possibly because of his reported substance abuse addiction, though only they know the true reason for their split. The point is: She has made it clear that, in this moment in time, it isn't healthy for her to be in a relationship with Lamar and he needs to respect that and allow her to move on.

Even if Lamar truly believe he and Khloe are soul mates, he should repress the desire to express that because his ex deserves a chance to be happy again —both by herself and with someone else.
He must know he's making it more difficult for her by continuing to bring up past ghosts. Lamar should focus on bettering himself and becoming 100 percent healthy. If they're meant to be, they will find a way back to one another — but it won't happen as a result of subtle (make that blatantly obvious) mind control. His comments are not romantic — they're sad, manipulative, and unfair to Khloe.
