I would definitely label Kourtney Kardashian a "girly girl." From her perfect makeup and hair to her incredibly trendy outfits and the amazingly adorable get-ups we always see her kids Mason and Penelope rocking, it's evident she is hands-on when it comes to hers and her family's style. So it should come as no shock that her home is as fashion-forward as Ms. K -- who recently renovated her digs so that quite a few of the rooms feature a wacky, but somehow elegant Alice in Wonderland theme. And while she chose to go all Mad Hatter in her living area -- think black and white striped walls and ceilings -- she kept things relatively peaceful and sweet in her "favorite room" in the house -- her daughter's super-pretty nursery. But one feature might make you just a wee bit nervous.
Nearly EVERY inch of Penelope's abode features the color pink -- from the ceilings and walls to her rugs and various accessories. Thankfully, the room is broken up by a white crib and bookshelf and one -- I'm guessing -- INSANELY expensive turquoise chandelier that appears to be dangling RIGHT OVER the toddler's crib. Now, I'm sure Kourtney had one heck of a team working on her home and that Penelope's enormous lighting fixture poses no real threat -- but jeez, I don't think I'd be able to sleep with it SO centered on top of the crib!
Overall, the room gives me a bit of a toothache, but, admittedly, pink is not my fave color so I'm probably not the greatest judge. According to Kourtney, she first contemplated going "all white" in Penelope's room, which sounds great until your child is, oh, 1 and happy to color every inch of the room with a purple crayon. I think it was a way better decision on her part to go ultra-feminine and give her 18-month-old the pinkest room this side of cotton candy.
It's the perfect room for a little girl who just so happens to be the daughter of a glamazon like Kourtney. Please, please, please just move the crib slightly to the right or left, mmm'kay?
