Kendall Jenner is your typical fresh-faced, pretty young model—one who shines on the cover of Teen Vogue, but whom you wouldn't ordinarily think of as a woman with an edge. Her modeling opportunities are about to open up even more because Kendall just went goth in a big way, showing off a totally different side of her.
Before we all get too excited, no, the model hasn't quit the fashion biz to play bass in an emo band. Kendall's amazing goth look, complete with pale, pasty skin, undereye circles, messy hair, and some serious kick-butt boots, came courtesy of designer Alexander Wang at New York Fashion Week.
Kendall doesn't wake up looking like this. Her undereye circles are fake—the result of a makeup artist's wizardry and a little grey cream eye shadow.
And here's how she looked while sashaying (okay, more like moping) down the Wang runway:
Say what you will about the siblings. Kendall is, in my opinion, the star of the family for one major reason: the girl works. She is taking her career very seriously, pounding the pavement to try and book shows, succeeding, and proving to be a versatile model, instead of just another glam face in a bikini.
I'm betting Kendall's appearance in the Wang show will help build her profile with designers who, perhaps, were reluctant to believe she was capable of pulling off anything other than plain old pretty.
