Kristen Bell and husband, Dax Shepard, now have a house full of wonderful girls. The couple announced via Twitter Friday that Kristen has given birth to their second baby girl. Bell, 34, and Shepard, 39, didn't wait very long after having their daughter Lincoln, who is only 20 months old but, according to mom, very interested and aware of the fact that she is becoming a big sister. The duo will surely have their hands full, but given their recent tweets, you can tell they have great senses of humor (a must when you have two under age three) and will coast through these early, sleepless years. As for Baby #2's name, well, it's one that is fit for a little Southern belle.

Dax announced their baby's name on Twitter: "Delta Bell Shepard is here. She doesn't look like either @IMKristenBell or me, but we're gonna keep her anyway. #christmascameearly"

And, speaking of Twitter, Kristen cutely (and when isn't she so cute you could die from her cuteness?) sent a tweet herself that read, "The estrogen has now hit critical mass! Good luck, @daxshephard1. And welcome to the world DELTA BELL SHEPARD :)"

Back to the name "Delta." Its origin is Greek and it's the fourth letter of the alphabet. If you can get Delta Airlines out of your mind for a second and think instead of the Mississippi Delta and delta blues, it's actually a name that has a lot of Southern charm. And, if you love math, you know that delta means "change in" and is represented by a triangle symbol used in physics, chemistry, and engineering. All pretty cool reasons to name your daughter "Delta."

It's definitely different and unexpected. Both Kristen and Dax are from Detroit, which makes me wonder what inspired them to choose this name. When I heard they named their first daughter "Lincoln," I wondered if they, in some small way, did this to honor the Lincoln Motor Company that has its headquarters in Michigan.

Maybe they just like the sounds of "Delta" and "Lincoln." You have to admit, they are both pretty and melodic.

What do you think of the name Delta?
