A 20-year-old man from Milwaukee reportedly raped a 101-year-old woman during a burglary at her home in September. Antoine Devon Pettis may have thought he was going to get away with his horrific crimes, but thanks to DNA evidence collected at the scene, police reportedly linked him to the disgusting act -- and you'll never believe what he has to say about it now.
Police say the elderly woman, who lives alone, was sleeping in her bed when she heard a noise. She asked who was there and says she was told to "shut up" and slapped several times in the face by the suspect.
Pettis, who says he had only planned to commit a robbery, allegedly changed his mind when he saw the woman in her bed. He reportedly raped her by flipping her over on the bed and holding onto her wrists. The victim reportedly waited until she believed Pettis was gone and then called for help at her door. When police found her, they say she was bleeding from her face, legs, and buttocks.
Disgusting. She was taken to the hospital and treated.
As for Pettis, he reportedly told cops that had he planned to rape the woman, he would have worn a condom.
Well, isn't that just great. Holy cow.
This isn't the man's first arrest. In 2013, he was reportedly charged with obstructing an officer and THC possession. He failed to appear at a hearing for that case and a warrant has been out for his arrest since.
Pettis faces burglary, aggravated battery, and second degree sexual assault charges. If convicted, he could spend up to 25 years in prison -- and if he is guilty, he deserves every single second of it.
